Casablanca Port Welcomes M-ATV Armored Vehicles for Moroccan Royal Forces

Yesterday, the port of Casablanca received a special shipment from the United States destined for the Royal Armed Forces (FAR). The delivery included a batch of M-ATV armored vehicles, renowned for their mine-resistant and ambush-protected capabilities.

This shipment is part of the Special Defense Acquisition Fund (
SDAF)
, established by the Pentagon and the U.S. Department of State to finance the purchase of defense equipment and services for eventual transfer to allied partners and international organizations.

«The U.S. government can use this fund to provide selected equipment and services to its partners on accelerated timelines, while maintaining the readiness of U.S. forces by minimizing the diversion of resources intended for their own use to meet urgent partner needs».

In service since 2009, M-ATV armored vehicles are primarily used by the U.S. Army, but are also deployed by the ground forces of the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia.
