Bitget Teams Up With UNICEF LX to Educate 300,000 Youths in Eight Countries on Blockchain Technology

Bitget, a major Web3 company and crypto exchange, has announced a three-year partnership with UNICEF Luxembourg to deliver blockchain education and digital skills training to 300,000 young people by 2025. The initiative is part of Bitget’s involvement in the Game Changers Coalition, a program led by the UNICEF Office of Innovation. The collaboration focuses on empowering youth, especially girls, in developing countries through educational tools and mentorship. Expanding Access to Digital Skills The partnership aims to improve blockchain literacy across eight countries: Armenia, Brazil, Cambodia, India, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, Morocco, and South Africa. In addition to young learners, the program will also involve parents, mentors, and teachers. Bitget Academy, the platform’s educational branch, will support the development of UNICEF’s first interactive blockchain training module, combining online learning with in-person instruction. The module is based on game development and designed to make blockchain education accessible and engaging. The collaboration directly addresses the digital divide faced by adolescent girls in low- and middle-income countries. With most jobs now requiring digital proficiency, Bitget and UNICEF are working to close the gender gap in technology education. The program aligns with the goals of the Game Changers Coalition, which includes other members like Women in Games and the Global Video Game Coalition. The coalition hopes to reach 1.1 million girls globally by 2027. Blockchain4Her and Future Mentorshi Bitget also plans to integrate its Blockchain4Her initiative into the project. This $10 million program has already supported women with training, mentorship, and funding in Web3. By connecting UNICEF with top blockchain developers and protocols, Bitget aims to bring real-world expertise into classrooms. These experts may serve as mentors and role models, helping young women build the skills and confidence needed for careers in blockchain and beyond.
