For numerous travelers, part of the process when flying from an airport includes paying for parking. However, the method of paying for parking at XNA is soon going to be different.
When you reach the airport parking lot, traditional paper tickets will become obsolete. A camera will capture an image of your license plate as you pass through the entrance. Subsequently, this data, along with the entry timestamp, will be instantly recorded within their database.

After parking, you will see signs nearby featuring barcodes. Should you have some free time, feel free to use your phone to scan this code right away for setting up your payment details. However, if you’re pressed for time, you can delay scanning the barcode and completing the payment process until after you return to the city center.
The airport is collaborating with a firm named “Metropolis.”
Isn’t it quite enchanting?” remarked Nick Rosen-Wachs, who serves as the Vice President of Communications at Metropolis. “Initially, when folks encounter it, they often remark about recognizing elements of computer vision and artificial intelligence. They question what exactly they’re witnessing and ponder how such advancements might transform their lives. Once you observe it in operation, however, it becomes truly astonishing.
When you make a payment via your smartphone, the system will record your departure time as the gate opens, allowing you to leave easily. For those who prefer traditional methods, you can simply approach the gate attendant, who will have your details on file and handle your payment directly.
