In Islamabad, Rawalpindi-Islamabad Sports Journalists Association (RISJA) hosted a commemorative event at a local hotel, attended by senior journalists, athletes, and officials from the Pakistan Olympic Association (POA), Islamabad Olympic Association (IOA), and various national sports federations.
The ceremony featured tributes to veteran sports journalists for their lifelong contributions, while younger professionals were encouraged to uphold ethical standards and continue serving as guardians of fair play and the Olympic spirit. SJAL Chairman Muhammad Yaqoob, President Aqeel Ahmed, and Secretary Yousaf Anjum led the proceedings, praising the dedication and resilience of sports reporters who often work under intense pressure and limited resources.
