A household in Kisii County is grieving after the unexpected and unexplained passing of a family member.
Lorna Sokkie Keno met her end at the home compound one morning, just before she was about to have breakfast.
The passing of the 56-year-old woman stunned her family, as it occurred unexpectedly and she exhibited no indications of illness.
Why did Keno return to Kenya from overseas?
Talking to Kaka Sungura of Bosongo Vibes, the journalist stated.co.kethat Keno had come back to his home country for a vacation.
She had resided in Switzerland for 30 years and came back with her sister for a holiday in Kisii. They enjoyed their time there until three days before Keno was scheduled to return to Switzerland. On the day she died, she requested strong tea, mentioning that she wasn’t feeling well. That marked the start of her problems. Some of her relatives assisted her out of bed and took her outside.
At that exact moment, she collapsed and died instantly, but her family initially believed she was merely unconscious. They started searching for a method to transport her to the hospital. They contacted her sister, who had been traveling with her, but she was far away and suggested they look for another option. It took some time before they found a solution and managed to get her to the hospital, where the doctors sadly confirmed she had already died.
Where was Keno buried?
Keno’s sister sensed something unusual, as her brother passed away mere hours before they were set to depart for Switzerland.
She informed Sungura about strange events affecting their family and believed it was due to witchcraft.
“She mentioned there had been strange occurrences at their residence. At one time, she discovered an object that looked like a coffin with Swiss coins placed outside the house. Their other siblings either deal with mental health issues or are struggling with addiction — they seem to have no clear purpose,” he said.
Keno’s body was sent back to Switzerland, where she was laid to rest in a private ceremony according to her husband’s wishes.
