Woman Guilty in Upper Darby Carjacking and Shooting Case

(WPHL) — A woman from Upper Darby has admitted guilt tocarjacking a family, firing at one of the victims, and then leaving with one of the children still in the vehicle.

As reported by the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Phillis Fugah, aged 24, admitted guilt on Wednesday for stealing a vehicle from a father and his two children.on August 30, 2024.

A father was carjacked in Upper Darby while children were in the vehicle, and authorities are looking for the perpetrators.

When the father and his five-year-old child exited the vehicle, Fugah shot the father and fled in the car while a two-month-old was in the back seat. She eventually left the car with the baby inside a few blocks away.

Fugah’s sentencing is scheduled for November 4.
