COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) – A death investigation is underway after a woman was found dead in a vacant lot on Victory Drive Saturday afternoon.
According to Muscogee County Coroner Buddy Bryan, the victim has been identified as 45-year-old Kizzy Adams. Columbus police were called to the scene near the 3400 block of Victory Drive just before 3 p.m.
Officials with CPD believe Adams was homeless and spent a lot of her time on Victory Drive. The cause of death is undetermined however, police say Adams had health issues. Police didn’t specify what the health issues were.
An autopsy is being conducted to determine the cause of death. According to Sgt. Sherman Hayes, so far nothing indicates foul play but this case remains under investigation.
