West MP Tours BECE Centers, Inspiring Candidates Ahead of Exams

By Elizabeth Larkwor Baah

Tema, June 14, GNA — Mr James Enu, the Member of Parliament (MP) for Tema West, has visited Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) centres within his constituency to offer words of encouragement and support to candidates.

Mr Enu interacted with candidates, teachers, and examination officials at various centres and expressed belief in the potential of the candidates, urging them to remain confident, focused, and determined to excel in the exams.

He reminded them that the BECE was the first major examination in their academic journey, adding that it was important to encourage them to do their best, urging them to remain calm and trust in the preparation they had done.

He mentioned that he spearheaded the organisation of free mock examinations for all final-year candidates in public schools across the constituency to assess their readiness and familiarise themselves with the structure and pressure of the BECE.

The MP also distributed mathematical sets to all BECE candidates in public schools within Tema West to ensure that no student was disadvantaged due to lack of basic resources or exposure.

He also noted with concern that BECE results in the constituency had not been very encouraging in recent years, expressing optimism that the measures put in place this year, including the extra academic support and motivation, would yield improved performance.
