Kathmandu, July 6 – The Meteorological Forecasting Division has reported that monsoon winds are still affecting most parts of the country. The monsoon trough is currently positioned close to its average location, which is a key factor in determining the weather patterns across the region. Over the next 24 hours, the weather is expected to remain partly to generally cloudy nationwide.
According to the division, light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning is likely to occur at various locations across Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Sudurpaschim provinces today. Some areas in other provinces may also experience brief showers. In the hilly regions of Koshi and Bagmati, one or two areas are at risk of heavy rainfall.
