The water level at the Kotri barrage in Jamshoro district, which is the final man-made structure before the Indus River reaches the sea, has been continuously increasing, with 151,041 cusecs measured upstream and 109,156 cusecs downstream on Friday. As per data provided by the Sindh Irrigation Department, the total canal withdrawals from the barrage amounted to 41,885 cusecs. The New Fuleli canal received 9,385 cusecs, falling short of its allocated 11,110 cusecs, while the Old Fuleli canal was supplied with 12,470 cusecs, exceeding its allocation of 9,770 cusecs. Similarly, the Kalri Baghar Feeder Canal, also known as the Karachi canal, was receiving 7,350 cusecs, slightly above its allocation of 7,180 cusecs, and the Akram Canal was getting 2,680 cusecs, below its allocated 3,340 cusecs.
