PULASKI, Tennessee (WKRN) — Footage captures an individual tossing a dog over a fence at the Giles County Animal Shelter.
The investigators from the Giles County Sheriff’s Office stated that they have recognized the individual.
In the meantime, shelter authorities reported that the dog is in good condition.
They refer to dogs as a man’s best friend, yet in this instance, the individual in the red vehicle left the dog at the Giles County Animal Shelter and fled.
The dog attempted to run after the vehicle. This occurred approximately 8 a.m. on Tuesday.
Jaclyn Payne serves as the director of the Giles County Animal Shelter.
The dog’s new name is Buddy, and he was probably a pet since Payne mentioned he is housebroken and knows how to walk with a leash.
“He remains calm, yet he enjoys howling,” Payne remarked.
Investigators from the Giles County Sheriff’s Office stated they have recognized the suspect and intend to file charges against him.
Payne mentioned that while they are preparing Buddy for his new forever home, they also have several other dogs and cats available to find their own families.
Payne mentioned that the Giles County Animal Shelter is in need of contributions and individuals who can offer their time.
The GCSO has not disclosed the individual’s name.
