Travis Kelce
and
Patrick Mahomes
wowed the
Kansas
Urban populace with two prominent figures participating
Big Slick
, an yearly charitable function aimed at raising funds for Children’s Mercy, a children’s hospital.

The Chiefs duo appeared at the ‘Big Slick Show’ at T-Mobile Center, the final event of the weekend alongside several celebrities with local ties. Not in
Missouri
for the event was
Taylor Swift
, days after
She declared that she had regained the rights to her initial six albums.

One major figure not linked to Kansas City who made an appearance at the event was
Jason Kelce
who casually walked out onto the stage accompanied by the music
‘Bad to the Bone’
by George Thorogood & The Destroyers.

Mahomes and Travis Kelce made their entrance together just before the
Philadelphia Eagles
myth with many prominent figures awaiting them.

The Kansas City celebrities most notably included
Jason Sudeikis
,
Paul Rudd
, and David Koechner.

Onstage also appeared Eric Stonestreet, Rob Riggle, and Heidi Gardner, completing the roster of six celebs with local connections featured in ads promoting each Big Slick event over the weekend.

The Kelce siblings along with Mahomes took the stage to keep the audience engaged, since no sports franchise captures the hearts of people in Western Missouri quite like the Chiefs do.

The extravaganza kicked off on Thursday night with a ‘Just Us’ event, which was a cocktail party with the six celebrities.

On Friday, a celebrity softball match took place, offering numerous suites for tickets, followed immediately by an official game where the Kansas City Royals faced off against the Detroit Tigers at Kauffman Stadium.

The highlight of The Big Slick’s evening gala on Saturday was the appearance of the Kelce brothers along with Mahomes, during which the amount donated to Children’s Mercy will be revealed.

Since Big Slick began in 2010, the initiative has generated over $24 million for children’s healthcare in the Kansas City region.

This year’s Big Slick special guests will feature Curt Menefee, all three lead actors from TBS’ Impractical Jokers, local favorite Tom Pestock—renowned for his tenure with WWE under the persona of Baron Corbin—and Hollywood personalities such as Will Forte and Johnny Knoxville, among others.

With a letter to her supporters on her website on Friday, Swift announced that she had bought back control of her first six albums, which had most previously been owned by hedge fund Shamrock Capital.

Swift teased the news on her Instagram by posing alongside all six album covers.

She labeled the post ‘You belong with me,’ alluding to one of her popular tracks, followed by: ‘Check out the letter on my website :).’

Sharp-eyed enthusiasts noticed that Kelce gave a thumbs up to the post on Instagram, with his buddy and fellow player,
Patrick Mahomes
, even shared the update on X.

Patrick’s spouse, Brittany, shared Swift’s post on her Instagram Story as well, captioning it with ‘So incredibly awesome.’

Since the pair started dating in the summer of 2023, Kelce has been an avid supporter of Swift’s music, following her on her Eras Tour last summer and even making an onstage cameo at Wembley Stadium.

For her part Swift said of the development: ‘To say this is my greatest dream come true is actually being pretty reserved about it.

‘To my fans, you know how important this has been to me — so much so that I meticulously re-recorded and released four of my albums, calling them Taylor’s Version.

‘The passionate support you showed those albums and the success story you turned The Eras Tour into is why I was able to buy back my music. I can’t thank you enough for helping to reunite me with this art that I have dedicated my life to, but have never owned until now.’
