The Trafalgar Fire Department is reminding motorists to
stay safe around train tracks
after an SUV was struck by a train Thursday afternoon.
According to a Facebook post from the TFD, around 3:35 p.m. on June 26, crews were called to the area of
West County Road 600 South and South County Road 725 West
on a report of a crash involving a vehicle and a train.
When first responders arrived, they reportedly found the lone occupant of a crashed SUV out of the vehicle and walking around.
Crews then worked to clean up the scene. TFD says the railroad crossing did not have cross-arms and are reminding the public not to get too close to train tracks.
