Bechem, (Ahafo), August 12, GNA – A violent accident that occurred on the Sunyani-Kumasi highway has resulted in two fatalities and 10 other individuals, all affiliated with the Seventh Day Adventist (SDA) Church, who are suffering from varying levels of injuries.
The Ghana News Agency (GNA) reported that the deceased were part of the Bechem SDA Church group who were traveling back from Kumasi-Kenyasi to Bechem after participating in a camp meeting when the accident occurred at Aburaso.
Elder Charles Brobbey from Bechem SDA Church informed the Ghana News Agency (GNA) during an interview in Bechem that the remains of the late Elder James Kolan, the church’s treasurer, and Elder S. B. Appiah have already been taken to the Bechem Government Hospital mortuary for storage and examination.
He mentioned that patients were undergoing treatment at the Bechem Pisgah and the Kumasi Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospitals.
Senior Brobbey conveyed the church’s sympathies to the grieving families and extended wishes for the injured to recover quickly.
