LGBTQ Pride Month is celebrated nationwide throughout the month of June, and
New York City
is about to kick it up a notch with its annual march taking place on Sunday, June 29.
This year’s Pride March, called
Rise Up: Pride In Protest
, will run down Fifth Avenue, starting at 26th Street and Fifth Avenue, ending between 15th and 9th streets, where people will start to disperse and go their separate ways.

If you’re in the area, and would to show your support — or are a little hungry or thirsty — here are four spots that have specials and will donate a portion of the proceeds to the cause.
Socarrat Paella Bar
Socarrat Paella Bar, which is known for its Spanish fare, is getting into the spirit with a rainbow paella.
The flavorful dish is equally colorful, pulling inspiration from the Pride Flag, in which you will find a mix of tomato sofrito, calamari, tuna, prawns, purple cauliflower, broccoli, corn, piquillo peppers and asparagus.
The limited-edition dish, available starting June 27 to June 29, goes for $40 and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to Callen-Lorde Community Health Center, a global leader in global leader in LGBTQ+ healthcare,
Bourbon Steak New York
This modern American steakhouse is showing its support by serving up an ice treat called “Clouds and Rainbows.” The shaved ice features a rainbow of flavors, including guava, calamansi, mango, kiwi and hibiscus, topped with a coconut cloud, infused with lime and sugar.
A portion of proceeds will be donated to the Matthew Shepard Foundation, dedicated to preserving the memory of Matthew Shepherd, who was brutally beaten to death in 1998, which was deemed a hate crime.
Rosa Mexicano
For the entire month of June, Rosa Mexicano has been offering a specialty cocktail drink, dedicated to the LGBTQ community, called The Rosa Sol. The drink is described as a bright, refreshing twist on the traditional margarita and is made with Casa Del Sol Blanco, muddled strawberries, mint, lemon, agave and a splash of soda.
Rosa Mexicano will show its support by donating a portion of the proceeds to The Trevor Project, a non-profit organization focused on suicide prevention and crisis intervention for LGBTQ youth.
Threes Brewing
While Brooklyn-based brewery Threes Brewing may not be on the parade route, it’s worth the walk across the bridge for a visit.
The brewery has an LGBTQ-inspired lager called Gender Neutral, which is available all month and comes in a can wrapped in a Pride rainbow flag. First brewed in 2017, the drink is described as “lagerade” and is perfectly refreshing for the summer weather.
Threes Brewing is partnering with the Leslie-Lohman Museum of Art in Sotho, the world’s only dedicated LGBTQIA+ art museum, committed to preserving and uplifting queer voices in art.
Consumers are advised to watch out for restaurants that are being “gay-for-pay,” as they are using Pride Month as part of promotions, but have no intent of supporting the cause. The rainbow-inspired dishes also come with a warning to watch out for restaurants that are just being “gay for pay,” as they are profiting from Pride Month but not
“Selling a rainbow dish to celebrate Pride without donating to LGBTQ causes is nothing to be proud of,” says EATER’s Adam Moussa.
