Amnuay Silpa School, one of Thailand’s most established educational institutions soon to celebrate its centenary, has been named one of the world’s top 10 schools and is now a finalist for the World’s Best School Prize 2025 in the category of Supporting Healthy Lives. The prize is awarded by global education organisation T4 Education, in partnership with Accenture, American Express, and the Lemann Foundation.
This prestigious international award recognises schools that are pioneers of educational excellence and have made an outstanding impact, serving as inspiring models for others around the globe in advancing education.
The selection for the prize in Supporting Healthy Lives is chosen by experts based on rigorous standards that focus on how schools create environments that promote health and wellbeing-evaluating their efforts to instil healthy habits, behaviours, knowledge, and life skills among students, families, and the wider community. Judging is based on four key criteria: teaching and learning, family and community engagement, leadership and practices, and the physical and social environment within the school. Finalist schools will also take part in a public vote.
It is a moment of great pride for Thailand to have one of its own recognised among the best schools in the world. Amnuay Silpa is the only English – Thai bilingual school in the country to be accredited at a level equivalent to the world’s leading international schools. It is Asia’s first thinking school, and globally recognised as the 21st Advanced Thinking School.
Thai citizens are invited to support Amnuay Silpa – Thailand’s sole finalist – by voting before 9 July to help elevate a Thai school to the No. 1 spot in the world.
