Summer Fun Awaits at Cook Museum of Natural Science

DECATUR, Ala. (
WHNT
) — We had a very ssspecial guest from the
Cook Museum of Natural Science
in Decatur this morning! Marketing Manager Joy Smith and Animal Care Specialist Abbi Campbell brought one of Cook Museum’s ambassador snakes, KT.

KT is an Eastern Indigo snake, native to South Alabama, South Georgia, and Florida. They are non-venomous and can grow up to eight feet long.

Kids can enjoy tons of programming throughout the summer to learn about animal dissections, natural habitats, and watch live animal presentations to meet friendly ambassadors like KT.

The Cook Museum of Natural Science is open seven days a week during the summer months.
Camps
are available through June and July for children ages 6-11.

There are two ways to register:

In person at the Guest Services desk in the Museum lobby or contact the Group Sales department during regular weekday business hours at 256-898-6312.
