Stolen Car Crashes Into Noblesville Gun Shop—2nd Break-In in a Year

In a brazen early morning heist, a group of thieves used a stolen vehicle to break into a gun store in downtown Noblesville, Indiana. The incident occurred around 4:45 a.m. on Friday at 98 N. 10th St., just a block north of City Hall and east of the Hamilton County Courthouse.

According to the Noblesville Police Department, the suspects rammed a recently stolen car—originally taken from Marion County—into the storefront of Hoosier Armory, a local gun shop. This marked the second time in less than a year that the business had been targeted in such a manner.

Witnesses described hearing the loud crash followed by the sound of power tools as the thieves worked quickly to gain access to the interior. Employees later recounted the chaotic scene as they boarded up the damaged storefront. Despite the dramatic entry, the intruders reportedly left with very little of value. Most of the firearms were either locked to shelves or secured inside safes, leaving the burglars to make off with only a few pocket knives.

The store’s employees noted that the thieves numbered around four individuals, all wearing masks to conceal their identities. One suspect was seen sustaining a cut from broken glass during the forced entry, leaving behind blood droplets on the floor. Authorities have collected DNA evidence from the scene, which could prove crucial in identifying and prosecuting those responsible once leads develop.

This act of vandalism and attempted theft has left the business owners both frustrated and financially burdened. Repair costs are expected to be steep, adding insult to injury for a store already victimized once before under similar circumstances. However, a silver lining came in the form of community support. Another local business has offered to install a bollard—a sturdy post typically made of concrete or metal—in front of the store to prevent future vehicle-related break-ins. These security measures are commonly used to control traffic flow, protect pedestrians, and enhance storefront safety.

Police are currently following up on several investigative leads in hopes of locating the suspects. Surveillance footage from the area, witness accounts, and forensic evidence—including the DNA obtained from the blood at the scene—are being analyzed thoroughly.

For now, the community remains on edge, but resilient. Local authorities continue to urge businesses to take preventive security measures and remind residents to report any suspicious activity immediately. The Noblesville Police Department has assured the public that this case is a priority and that every effort is being made to bring the perpetrators to justice.
