“No Kings,” her placard read.

In Los Angeles, actress Emily Osment shared a selfie on social media, sporting an “IMPEACH” pin and encouraging Angelenos to “stand up for your city, stand up for your people.”

She added: “Spread love, not rubber bullets.”

In Santa Barbara, Kerry Washington marched alongside Julia Louis-Dreyfus, holding a cardboard sign that read, “The only monarch I like is a butterfly.”

The image quickly spread online, with Washington captioning her post: “#NoKings. Just some QUEENS. Found marching, speaking up, and fighting for Democracy.”

Elsewhere in California, demonstrators held witty and forceful signs such as “KEEP ICE IN MY DRINKS, NOT MY STREETS” and “NO KINGS” pinned to their backs.

Local Juneteenth celebrations continued throughout the day, blending the themes of racial justice and democratic accountability.
