NASA has detected sunspots on the Sun’s surface, indicating potential solar storms in the upcoming weeks.
A notable feature of the latest solar event is the distinctive form of one of the eruptions. This particular shape suggests a substantial expulsion that has a strong chance of impacting Earth’s magnetic field, prompting worry among specialists in space weather.
NASA
has cautioned that the charged solar particles can lead to issues such as power outages and failures in radio communications, as well as inaccuracies in satellite navigation systems. Areas with high latitudes are especially susceptible to these impacts; however, disturbances may be experienced globally.
