WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — A 21-year-old man was shot during a confrontation outside a downtown QuikTrip late Friday night, according to Wichita police.

Officers were dispatched around 10 p.m. to the convenience store at Douglas and Washington and found the man with a gunshot wound. He was taken to a hospital, treated, and later released.
Police say the man and a friend got into a verbal altercation with another group, which escalated and led to shots being fired.
