The Wacky Worm attraction is characterized as ‘The ideal initial thrilling ride for children. This brief introductory roller coaster for kids will make them scream.’

It happened just a few days after attendees were left hanging upside down for 20 minutes when a carnival ride at Boardmasters malfunctioned.

The Apollo 13 ride transports adventure lovers to the peak of the festival in Newquay, Cornwall, lifting passengers high into the air using a massive arm and then turning them upside down once they reach the summit.

It is typically one of the standout moments of the music and surfing festival, but on Friday night attendees faced a frightening situation when it malfunctioned, putting them in an uncomfortable position.

Disturbing video shared on social media following the incident captures families in a state of panic as they are pulled from the ride during the late hours.

The footage shows Apollo 13 staying firmly upright, standing tall above the well-known event as onlookers observe in fear.

The poster labeled the video: ‘Apollo 13 malfunctioned, leaving individuals trapped at the top for 20 minutes.’

A representative from Boardmasters Festival stated: “At 1am on Thursday morning, one of the attractions experienced a temporary power outage. As a safety measure, the ride stopped automatically while passengers were aboard.”

The ride attendant quickly reacted and securely helped all passengers off the attraction within 20 minutes. Guests were never at risk at any time. The ride has now completed a complete safety inspection and is back to regular service.
