“I’m one of 150 people so I can’t go in there and like snap my fingers,” she said, “but I really felt like we built some great relationships in the house.”
Luther says there’s still work to be done with the upcoming special session called by Governor Greg Abbott.
The Dorchester-centered cement kiln bill, SB 1758, is on the agenda.
“We’ll meet, have committees, but even if nothing happens to it, it’s law,” she said, “so I’m really excited about that bill.”
In the meantime, she’s shifting her focus to the people, by meeting, speaking, and listening.
“We’re in the constituent business as far as taking care of everybody,” Luther said. “That doesn’t mean just Republicans either, that means everybody.”
She also recently announced her bid for a second term.
“I’m running on the Republican Party platform and if it has to do with that, that’s exactly how I vote,” Luther said. “I’m ready to go back in and and see what we can do.”
