Renault Triber MPV Gets a Fresh Look for the Indian Market
Renault India has introduced its latest version of the Triber MPV, tailored specifically for the Indian market. As one of the most affordable multi-purpose vehicles in the country, the Triber starts at an ex-showroom price of Rs 6.29 lakh. This updated model brings several changes to its design, interior, and features, making it more appealing to potential buyers.
A New Look on the Outside
The facelifted Triber sports a completely new exterior design compared to its predecessor. The front fascia has been redesigned with fresh elements, including LED Daytime Running Lights (DRLs) integrated into the headlight units. These are positioned on either side of a revised grille that now features the French automaker’s new logo. The bumper has also been redesigned, incorporating silver surrounds and fog lamps on both ends.
The overall silhouette remains the same, but the alloy wheels have a new design. The rear end has been updated as well, with new taillights and a tailgate that displays the Triber lettering. A new bumper complements the plastic cladding on the wheel arches, featuring silver elements. Additionally, three new color options have been introduced: Zanskar Blue, Shadow Grey, and Amber Terracotta.
A Modern Interior Experience
Stepping inside the Triber, you’ll find a refreshed cabin that offers a more contemporary feel. The steering wheel now features the new Renault logo, and the layout has been reimagined for better usability. An 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system is standard, supporting Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The interior is adorned with black and grey upholstery, offering a sleek and modern aesthetic.
Enhanced Features and Safety
The Triber comes equipped with a range of features designed to enhance convenience and comfort. These include cruise control, automatic wipers, automatic headlamps, and auto-folding outside rearview mirrors (ORVMs). For safety, the vehicle is fitted with six airbags as standard, along with front parking sensors and Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS).
The car is available in four variants—Authentic, Evolution, Techno, and Emotion—each offering different combinations of features to suit various customer preferences.
Retaining the Powertrain
Despite the numerous updates, the powertrain remains largely unchanged from the previous model. The Triber continues to be powered by a 1.0-litre naturally aspirated three-cylinder petrol engine, paired with a five-speed manual or an Automated Manual Transmission (AMT) option. Additionally, the vehicle also offers a retrofitted CNG engine option, catering to eco-conscious buyers looking for fuel efficiency.
