The National Museum of Ornamental Arts, also referred to as the National Metalwork Museum, highlights the nation’s varied and abundant legacy in traditional adornments.
It showcases a wide range of items from different parts of Morocco, such as Amazigh silver artifacts, opulent city jewelry, and meaningful desert patterns.

The museum was initially founded in 1915 within the historic pavilions built during the rule of Sultan Moulay Ismail in the late 17th and early 18th centuries.
The cultural organization experienced two years of renovation between 2020 and 2022 andreopened for public access in 2023.
The gallery goes beyond merely showcasingthe artistic skill and detailed methodsemployed by Moroccan craftsmen. It also examines the cultural and social importance of jewelry in Moroccan customs, especially during weddings, religious occasions, and festivals.
The organization serves as a learning and engaging environment, attracting people of all ages and encouraging knowledge and respect for Morocco’s non-physical cultural traditions.
