Portable Drops Anthem Amid Online Feud with Laide Bakare

After a period of silence from both parties, controversial artiste, Habeeb Okikiola, aka Portable; and actress, Laide Bakare, have resumed their fight online. In a video made during the week, Bakare sent a stern warning to Portable to stop talking about her.

In one of the series of now-deleted posts she made in the course of the week, she said, “For all of you saying ‘ignore him, don’t answer him,’ No, this guy wouldn’t stop. You think it is only you that has a monopoly of madness?”

She also stated that she would give him a hard slap on his back (called “abara” in Yoruba), if she got hold of him.

Responding, Portable released a snippet of a new single titled, D’abara bomi. In a video posted on social media, he could be seen dressed in a skirt and blouse while dancing to the song.

Meanwhile, their recent spat started when Bakare stated that there were enough job opportunities for youths in Nigeria rather than them ‘japaing’ (relocating) to Libya.

However, Portable disagreed with her. He said, “Aunty Laide, you lie. Where do you see work in Nigeria? If there is work, why did you relocate from Nigeria? Are you still in your matrimonial home? Before you come out to accuse other women of selling their bodies for money in Libya… It isn’t all women who do prostitution in Libya”
