Following the November election, Gisele’s engagement on social media has dropped significantly. Her most recent X post dates back to February, where she spoke up for immigrants without explicitly referencing Trump’s deportation efforts: ‘Although I detest politics, my love for people endures, and I firmly believe everyone deserves security within their own country. If someone chooses this new homeland with affection, they too must find safety here,'” Scher added. “Though her outspoken nature might have faded, her deep-seated empathy towards those struggling as immigrants persists. Amidst Trump’s relentless push for deportations, very few individuals in America exemplify so poignantly what we stand to lose when we demonize those who embraced America wholeheartedly.
Later, he proposed that Nye should head the EPA, noting that “the bow-tie-wearing engineer turned comedy writer turned children’s television host has seamlessly blended science with entertainment for many years, and recently, he has used his skills to fight against climate change.”
“He has started referring to himself as ‘Bill Nye the Climate Guy,’ and considering the party’s concern about connecting with younger voters, they might not do much better than tapping into someone who boasts a 10 million-strong presence on TikTok,” Scher commented.
