The Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz) (PML-N) has announced its candidates for the upcoming by-elections in Faisalabad. The party has awarded its tickets to Bilal Badr Chaudhry from NA-96 Faisalabad, while Raja Daniyal Riaz, son of Raja Riaz has been nominated for NA-104. Likewise, to Muhammad Tufail Jutt, Muhammad Hanif Jutt and Azad Ali Tabassum have been awarded tickets from NA-143 Sahiwal and PP-203 and PP-98 respectively.
The vacating of the seats followed high-profile disqualifications of legislators in the aftermath of the May 9, 2023 protests, including those involving PTI members, which triggered the ECP to declare a number of seats vacant. The ECP has already announced schedules for by-polls for these constituencies.
