PM Enforces Rigid Office Schedule Compliance

Pakistan, August 12 – Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has shown concern over the lack of adherence to official working hours in federal ministries, departments, and organizations. This action is part of an initiative aimed at enhancing discipline and efficiency within government offices. The Prime Minister emphasized that strict observance of office timings is crucial for effective government operations.

The Cabinet Division has issued an official letter to all ministries, departments, and affiliated units, highlighting the significance of adhering to the scheduled working hours. Furthermore, the Prime Minister has instructed the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) headquarters and its regional offices to rigorously implement the duty schedules with no exceptions.

Circulars have been distributed to every FBR member, Director Generals, and leaders of field units, directing them to enforce adherence. A version of this instruction has been forwarded to the Chairman of FBR and the Secretary of the Revenue Division. They are responsible for placing the notice clearly on all office bulletin boards.

To enhance compliance, rigorous oversight of administrative departments has been implemented throughout all offices. It is now required for employees to submit daily attendance and punctuality reports. Officials have been advised to promptly address any employee who is absent or late beyond the designated working hours.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has started personally overseeing the maintenance of order in government departments. This step underscores the administration’s dedication to enhancing workplace culture and guaranteeing that public services meet the required levels of efficiency.

FBR has disseminated the instruction extensively across its branches and field units. All staff members have been encouraged to adhere strictly to the announced working hours, demonstrating the government’s strong position on maintaining discipline in public departments.
