Plane Train at Hartsfield-Jackson Airport Removed After Smoke Odor Reported, Officials Confirm

ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) – Fire crews were called to Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport Sunday morning after a smoke smell was reported from one of the airport’s Plane Trains.

According to the airport, Atlanta Fire and Rescue responded to the reports of the smell coming from the Plane Train level at Concourse C just after 6:45 a.m.

The airport says a train car with “hot breaks was taken out of service” because of the smell.

Airport alarms did go off as part of its regular safety system. Plane Train operations were not affected..

Officials were able to clear the incident some time after 7 a.m.
