A 22-year-old man fatally struck by a vehicle near Palmdale was positively identified Saturday.
Palmdale resident Winndell Johnson died from blunt force traumatic injuries in an accident, according to the Medical Examiner’s office.
Johnson was walking east on Avenue O, west of 185th Street East, around 10:35 p.m. last Saturday when he was hit.
The driver and a passenger were unhurt, according to California Highway Patrol Officer D. Tirado.
The driver was not suspected of being impaired by alcohol or drugs, CHP officials said.
