Pastor James Ng’ang’a of Neno Evangelism Centre has once again caught the attention of many, this time for a touching act of generosity toward a devoted elderly church member.
How did Ng’ang’a help old man?
During a recent service, the controversial preacher warmly engaged with a 75-year-old man who had attended his church.
As he addressed the congregation, Ng’ang’a offered the elderly congregant some health advice, noting the need for supplements such as Vitamin C and Omega-3 due to his age.
“You are 75 years old. I gave you KSh 5,000 the other day, right? I thought you were young, turns out you’re a commander,” the preacher said humorously.
He continued:
“I need you guys to buy him Vitamin C and Omega 3. You’ll be adding that to your drinking water. When you are old, even if you eat meat, your body doesn’t absorb all the nutrients. Personally, I’ve already taken Vitamin C today.”
The moment turned emotional after Pastor Ng’ang’a asked the elderly man where he lived.
The man humbly responded that he resides in Kinangop and wakes up as early as 3:30 am to travel to Nairobi for the service, a distance of approximately 100 kilometres.
Clearly moved by the man’s unwavering commitment to the ministry, Pastor Ng’ang’a reached into his pocket and handed the man a generous bundle of notes.
“Count it,” Ng’ang’a instructed, as the man began tallying the amount. It totalled KSh 14,000.
“That’s your money,” the preacher declared, as the congregation cheered his kindness.
The selfless act warmed the hearts of many, with social media users praising Pastor Ng’ang’a for honouring the elderly man’s dedication.
