NXT Women’s Champ vs. New #1 Contender: IInspiration Feud Highlights Busy Night for TNA Knockouts

The TNA Knockouts division exploded with activity on Thursday night’s episode of Impact (June 26, 2026). The NXT women’s champion made a surprise appearance, a new #1 contender was determined for the Knockouts Championship, Jessie McKay & Cassie Lee of the IInspiration are heating up a feud for the Knockouts tag titles, Tessa Blanchard has a grudge brewing with Indi Hartwell, and more.

The feature bout for the women’s division on Impact was a battle royal to determine a future contender for the Knockouts Championship. But first, Masha Slamovich has a title defense against Killer Kelly next week.

Kelly watched Masha become champion, but she thinks her former partner forgot who made her that monster. Kelly will show the world who the real monster is.

Slamovich responded with the suggestion for a chain match against Kelly. TNA made that official. That wasn’t the only business for the champ. Arianna Grace burst in with excitement about a plan in the works. The liaison to NXT and TNA knows that Slamovich likes a challenge, but she couldn’t reveal the details yet. Slamovich was game.

Over in the tag team side, the
IInspiration returned
to make it clear that they want to win the Knockouts tag titles to become two-time champions. Ash and Heather by Elegance didn’t take kindly to new competition on the block. At a recent meet and greet event, the Elegance brand made a scene at the IInspiration’s table.

The Knockouts battle royal on Impact started with a posedown between Elegance and IInspiration. The rest of the competitors had enough of the funny business and joined together to dump both teams out of the ring.

The nitty gritty came down to Tessa Blanchard, Lei Ying Lee, Xia Brookside, Tasha Steelz, and Indi Hartwell. Steelz lifted Brookside onto the apron to kick her out. Lee followed from behind to dump Steelz, then Blanchard did the same to eliminate Steelz.

The finish came down to Blanchard versus Hartwell. Or so we thought. As they duked it out on the apron, Ash popped up from the backside to shove them both down to the floor. Ash by Elegance was the winner. Replay showed that Ash actually rolled under the ropes during the opening elimination scrum, so she was still legal. Ash didn’t get long to celebrate. Slamovich walked down to the ring, then Jacy Jayne made a surprise appearance on stage.

To recap the Knockouts Championship scene, Slamovich defends against Kelly next week on Impact in a chain match. Ash gets a shot at the winner in the future. It is unclear how Jacy Jayne fits into this mix with the NXT Women’s Championship. Jayne previously lost a title match to Slamovich (

), so no doubt she wants a second chance at payback. TNA hasn’t announced whether Jayne gets a shot at the Knockouts Championship or if Slamovich gets a shot at the NXT title. Nor which promotion that bout would take place in.

As for Blanchard and Hartwell, Tessa is tired of Indi in her business. If not for Blanchard’s help, Hartwell would still be wrestling for meat pies and a handshake in Australia.
