Nikki Bella Shares Her Experience on the Set of Happy Gilmore 2
Nikki Bella, a former WWE Hall of Famer, recently made a return to the ring at the Evolution PLE event. She participated in the 20-Woman Battle Royal, which was ultimately won by Stephanie Vaquer. This marked Nikki’s first match since her surprise return to WWE during the Women’s Royal Rumble in February. While her in-ring performance has been a highlight, her off-screen activities have also caught attention, particularly her role in the upcoming film Happy Gilmore 2.
The movie, set to premiere on Netflix on July 25, features Nikki Bella in a supporting role alongside other notable names such as MJF, who plays Gilmore’s son, and Becky Lynch. In a recent interview, Nikki opened up about her experience working with Adam Sandler, the star and producer of the film. She described the set as an incredibly fun environment, emphasizing how comfortable and collaborative it was.
“I’ve always believed that laughter is the best medicine,” Nikki said. “But it really is. Sometimes when people do sequels, they don’t live up to the original. However, this one is going to be even better than the first, and I’m not saying that just because I’m part of it. We couldn’t stop laughing on set, and Adam makes everyone feel so at ease. I’ve never been in a big feature film before, and he’s very hands-on. He helps everyone make every scene better, and it was so much fun.”
Nikki also hinted that there are elements of the film that haven’t been revealed yet, which she believes fans will love. “There’s so much more that hasn’t been teased in the trailers, and people are going to be obsessed with it,” she added.
In addition to her work on the film, Nikki had a significant moment on this week’s edition of Raw, where she competed in her first singles match in nearly seven years. She defeated Chelsea Green, marking another milestone in her career.
