New Siding Nearly Finished for Jaws Bathroom at Universal Studios Florida

Construction continues on the Jaws bathroom building in Universal Studios Florida, and the majority of the new siding installed on the building’s exterior seems to be finished.

Jaws Bathroom Update

The JawsA themed bathroom building at Universal Studios Florida has been closed for renovations since February of this year. The structure, which was initially brown, had all its original siding removed from the exterior walls. This building is one of the few remaining structures from the original Amity Island area, which was mostly torn down to create space for Diagon Alley over ten years ago.

We initially noticed some of the new siding being installed on the building.during our most recent updateHowever, the siding was high enough to be seen above the adjacent blue construction walls. Since then, team members have been working on applying a significant amount of the new dark gray material.

Similar to the siding panels we observed earlier, it seems the entire building will now be painted a dark gray color. Prior to its renovation, the building was coated in a lighter brown hue that made it match more closely with the nearby Grimmauld Palace exterior.

New gray exterior cladding has been installed on all the outer walls, with most of the work already finished. The wall on the right side of the structure is completed, along with most of the area beneath the roof eaves. The only parts that still require cladding are the top of the left-side roof and a small area near the entrance.

Additionally, since our previous update, the tower located in the middle of the roof has also undergone a repaint. Similar to the rest of the structure, the wood on the sides of this tower was previously a lighter tone of brown. These sides are now painted a dark gray color that aligns with the rest of the walls beneath the roof.

In general, the outside of the structure looks nearly finished, except for small tasks such as painting the remaining part of the roof edge on this side. There is still no projected schedule for when this restroom facility will be open again.

Meanwhile, Universal Studios Florida marked the 50th anniversary ofJaws for most of June with a new merchandise collection and a celebratory shark-shaped sipper.
