McDonald’s is pushing the boundaries of its sauce offerings — and devoted fans are upset.
The fast-food chain has faced criticism following reports from social media users who noticed limited sauce options for Chicken McNuggets at certain outlets.
A Reddit user was surprised to read the following at a drive-thru window: Four and six-pieces include one sauce, 10-pieces come with two sauces, 20-pieces include three, and a 40-piece box comes with a selection of four. Additional sauces will incur an extra fee.

Some clients feel the rule has become excessive — despite it not being “a universal policy.”

Not only is the chain striving to enhance its customers’ satisfaction, but it is also in the process ofrecruiting 375,000 additional workers in the United States.
It is the company’s largest hiring initiative since 2020, with the number of positions available for people interested in working at any of the over 13,000 McDonald’s outlets throughout the United States.
It also arrives as the chain plans to open 900 new restaurants by the end of 2027.
The fast food restaurant revealed the plans in May in Ohio during an event where President Donald Trump’s Labor Secretary, Lori Chavez-DeRemer, was present.
“McDonald’s is generating a wave of growth for our employees, neighborhoods, and the economy,” DeRemer stated.
By increasing their staff, the company will be promoting investment and establishing benchmarks for industry development, whether as a starting point for another profession or as a pathway for internal progress.
