New Construction Walls Enhance Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios

New Construction Walls Appear at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge Walkway in Disney’s Hollywood Studios

A recent development has been spotted at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, where new construction walls have been added along the guest walkway that connects Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge with Toy Story Land. These walls are positioned on one side of the path, depending on which direction guests are traveling.

Location and Purpose of the New Walls

The new construction walls can be found on the left side of the path when approaching from the Star Wars area toward Toy Story Land, or on the right side if coming from the opposite direction. This section of the walkway was previously home to temporary seating for Woody’s Lunch Box during the final stages of its covered seating expansion last year. However, that seating was removed in February, and the new walls may indicate ongoing efforts to restore this area.

Normally, this part of the walkway is a simple passageway with rockwork and plantings along the border. Apart from a few additional themed light fixtures, there are no major props or structures in this area. The addition of the new walls suggests that some form of renovation or reconfiguration might be underway.

Design and Appearance of the Walls

The construction walls have been painted in a light tan color with darker, weathered details to blend in with the surrounding environment of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. Unlike other areas of the park, these walls do not yet feature any of the usual Disney quotes or signage. They stretch across the entire half of the walkway, forcing guests to use the opposite side of the garden when traveling between the two lands.

A themed trash can has also been placed near the corner, adding a small touch of design consistency to the area. While the purpose of the walls remains unclear, they could be part of a larger plan to update or enhance the space.

Connection to Other Recent Changes

Interestingly, these new construction walls are located close to another set of temporary barriers that were erected around the entrance sign for Toy Story Land. Earlier this week, the entrance sign made of toys that faces this path was removed, and construction walls still surround the area. Although it is uncertain whether these changes are related, the proximity raises questions about potential future developments in the area.

What’s Next?

At this time, no visible work is taking place near the construction walls, leaving many guests and fans speculating about their purpose. Some believe the walls may be part of preparations for new attractions, themed elements, or even structural improvements within the park. Others suggest that the changes could be related to maintenance or safety upgrades.

As always, Disney’s Hollywood Studios continues to evolve, and these new additions highlight the ongoing efforts to refine and expand the guest experience. Fans of the park will undoubtedly be watching closely for any further updates or announcements regarding the new construction walls.
