ND Game and Fish Celebrates 32 Years at State Fair

MINOT, N.D. (KMOT) – The North Dakota Game and Fish Outdoor Skills Park has been a mainstay at the State Fair since 1993, and each year, it continues to expand its offerings.

Visitors can engage in fishing, archery, and trapping activities all in a single place.

Second-year college student Parker Heydt works seasonally with Game and Fish.

He mentioned that catchers might get a bite immediately once they place the worm, but it could also take some time before a fish is caught.

“They employ these cane poles, allowing them to catch bluegill, crappie, trout, and we actually caught a turtle this morning, which was quite intriguing,” said Heydt.

The park is situated on the northeastern part of the fairgrounds.

All events are complimentary and will be available from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM through Saturday.
