(KTXL) – Vlade Divac is in the hospital right now. Thankfully, his life is not on the life. But he is hurt pretty badly.
Divac had to have emergency surgery on Thursday after he fell during a motorcycle accident in Montenegro. He broke his hip, and had to have an artificial hip implanted.
“During the day, a surgical procedure was performed,” said a spokesperson for the hospital in the town of Risan where he was treated. “He is in a stable general and physical condition and is under a careful supervision of the medical staff.”
Vlade Divac was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2019. A 16-year NBA veteran, he played for the Lakers, Hornets and Kings.
He was an all-star with Sacramento in 2001, and he later became Sacramento’s general manager.
