“My Wife Will Be Happy” – CEO’s Irish Namesake Clarifies Coldplay Gig Confusion

An Irish CEO Clarifies: He Wasn’t the One at the Coldplay Concert

An Irish entrepreneur has had to publicly deny being the man spotted at a Coldplay concert in Foxborough, Massachusetts, engaging in an affair with his employee. The incident, which quickly went viral on social media, involved Andy Byron, the CEO of Stylo Motion Design, who found himself in the spotlight after a video captured a man resembling him cuddling with a colleague during the gig.

The situation took an unexpected turn when the band’s frontman, Chris Martin, made a comment about the couple, saying, “Oh, look at these two.” The pair, who were seen on the kiss cam, appeared very affectionate, with the man’s arms wrapped around the woman. As the moment unfolded, they immediately tried to disengage, with the woman covering her face and the man sheepishly stepping out of frame.

While the “it wasn’t me” defense may work for some, in this case, it was necessary for the real Andy Byron to clarify that he was not the one in the video. The Dublin-based CEO, who runs Stylo Motion Design, took to LinkedIn to address the confusion, noting that while he shared a similar name and title with the man in the footage, he was definitely not the one caught on camera.

“I wouldn’t be caught dead at a Coldplay concert,” he joked in his post. “I’m the Andy Byron who makes videos for big screens, not the one who gets caught on them.”

His message received over 11,000 reactions on the platform, and he even updated his LinkedIn bio to include the dramatic note: “NOT THE GUY FROM THE COLDPLAY GIG!!” The post brought him unexpected fame, with the CEO joking that his wife would be happy to hear that he had “won LinkedIn for a day.”

Meanwhile, the real Andy Byron — the one from the video — has been placed on leave by his company, Astronomer. The firm issued a statement emphasizing its commitment to values and accountability, stating that its leaders are expected to uphold high standards of conduct.

“Astronomer is committed to the values and culture that have guided us since our founding,” the statement read. “Our leaders are expected to set the standard in both conduct and accountability. The Board of Directors has initiated a formal investigation into this matter and we will have additional details to share very shortly.”

Astronomer also addressed false claims circulating online, clarifying that Alyssa Stoddard, a spokesperson, was not at the event, and no other employees were in the video. The company emphasized that the real Andy Byron had not made any public statements, and all reports suggesting otherwise were incorrect.

As for the couple in the video, their actions during the concert sparked widespread discussion. Chris Martin’s comment about whether they were having an affair or simply shy added to the intrigue. Despite his attempts to coax them back onto the camera, the pair chose to remain anonymous, leaving fans and followers to speculate about their identities.

This incident highlights the power of social media in today’s world, where a single moment can lead to global attention. For the Irish CEO, it was a mix of humor and embarrassment, but also an opportunity to connect with his audience in a unique way.
