veteran singer, Alariwo of Africa has opened up about the challenges he faced at the start of his music career, revealing that his father once kicked him out of the house for choosing music.
The singer made this known in an interview with actress, Biola Adebayo, on her show, Talk to B.
Alariwo recounted, “My father kicked me out because he didn’t want me to do music. I used to be from a very comfortable home. I grew up in Ojota and attended Bright Star School, the same primary school as Sunday Oliseh and Eucharia Anunobi.”
Recalling how he met his wife, he said, “Along the line, I met a woman I call my life. She was very comfortable. The first day I saw her, I told her I would marry her. She was like who is this one fooling? I met my wife through a friend I was squatting with. His girlfriend was my wife’s best friend, and they came together.”
The Yawa Go Gas crooner also addressed the topic of polygamy, saying, “Polygamy is an African thing, but not all men are polygamous in nature. Some people believe in having multiple wives, but I believe it’s good to have only one wife. Many are polygamous in nature, but some of us are disciplined.”
Asked if he can marry another wife, he said, “I will never have another wife. I don’t have that intention.”
