Muthoni wa Kirumba Defies Chilling Threats: “God Is My Shield”
  • Muthoni wa Kirumba said she had been receiving threats wrapped in riddles, which she decoded live on air with her co-host Chef Gathemba
  • She publicly warned the anonymous sender, stating that although there are no CCTVs on her route, God is her ultimate protector
  • The revelation came shortly after she fiercely clashed online with Murang’a County Woman representative Betty Maina

Popular Kameme FM presenter Muthoni wa Kirumba, popularly known as Baby Top, has spoken out about disturbing threats she has been receiving from an unidentified individual.

Was Baby Top threatened?

During a recent episode of her morning show alongside co-host Chef Gathemba, Muthoni revealed that the threats have been wrapped in cryptic messages.

Despite the ominous undertone, the spirited presenter chose to address the matter in her signature witty and light-hearted manner.

“They said that from my house travelling here to the office that there are no CCTVs, and I want to tell them this: from my house all the way to this office, my CCTV is God,” Muthoni said.

Gathemba, concerned about the situation, urged her to decode the veiled warning.

Muthoni, however, hinted at deeper issues beneath the surface, referencing recent incidents at the Central Police Station to illustrate the real danger such statements pose.

“When you look at the things that are happening, even like at the Central Police Station, you understand what can happen,” she noted.

The media personality did not hold back, making a bold public disclaimer for the person behind the threats.

“If anything happens, you who knows that you said that, and you know who you told… it is true there are no CCTVs, but there is God,” she said.

She continued:

“Do you want to tell me that just because this office has CCTVs, people don’t die or it can’t be robbed?”

She ended her warning with a sobering reminder to the unnamed individual.

“Even your life is granted to you by God,” Muthoni said.

Her disturbing revelation comes days after a heated social media spat between her and Murang’a County Woman Representative Betty Maina.

The feud, which escalated when Maina reportedly dragged Muthoni’s mother into their online war of words, ended with many netizens declaring Muthoni the victor for her fierce and unapologetic responses.

Adding to the timeline of recent controversies, Muthoni also visited the Kasarani Police Station on June 8, where she was reportedly helping a Nyeri-based politician who had been arrested by officers from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI).

Her last communication online before addressing the threats showed her coming to the politician’s aid.

As of now, the identity of the individual behind the threatening messages remains unclear.
