Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh) [India], July 23 (ANI): New police constables who have just joined the force inMadhya Pradeshhave been requested to jointly recite one or two sections ofRamcharitmanasevery day before going to sleep at Police Training Schools (PTSs) across the state.
A nine-month introductory training program ofnewly recruited constableshas commenced at eight Police Training Schools across the state since Wednesday, July 23. However, prior to the training program, numerous applications from new recruits were received forPTSalter, aiming to enroll in educational programs at thePTS nearest to their homes.
After that, ADG (Training) Raja Babu Singh virtually interacted with the Superintendent of Police (SP)PTSand new recruits on Tuesday and emphasized that Lord Rama spent 14 long years in exile, residing in the forest, and if Lord Ram could endure 14 years in exile, then why can’t the new recruits spend nine months in aPTS. They ought to concentrate on their preparation.
Furthermore, he directed that, if feasible, the new recruits should collectively recite one or two chapters ofRamcharitmanasevery night before going to bed, it is referred to as a source of knowledge, containing a guide for leading a life rooted in proper values.
Speaking with ANI, ADG (Training) Raja Babu Singh stated, “There are a total of eight Police Training Schools in”Madhya Pradesh to train newly recruited constableswhich include Rewa, Umaria, Pachmarhi, Indore, Ujjain, BhauriBhopalSagar and Tighra-Gwalior. A 9-month training program for 4000 newly hired constables has commenced today at these eight locations.PTSs. With new criminal laws coming into effect from July 1, 2024, we have made some changes to the nine-month basic training program for police constables. We have structured the course considering technological aspects, and the training has commenced today.
As per the data, approximately half of thenewly recruited constables submitted applications for PTSallocation closest to their residence, using various reasons, mainly related to family illness. Although ADG Singh advised against it and cited the example of Lord Ram’s 14-year exile from Ramcharitmanas, urging them to learn from it.
We have gotten numerous applications from new recruits forPTSwishing to attend training programs atPTSclosest to their residence. Some of them mentioned reasons such as a mother’s illness and others. While speaking to the SPPTSYesterday, I instructed them to advise the new recruits and encourage them by stating that it is mentioned inRamcharitmanas“Lord Ram spent 14 years in exile; if Lord Ram remained in exile, then why can’t you (recruits) spend nine months in a Police Training School within the state,” ADG Singh stated.
He further stated, “I provided them with the example of Lord Ram to ensure that new recruits concentrate on training instead of focusing on changes.”PTS. I have also requested them to readRamcharitmanas, and draw motivation from it; it includes numerous important lessons on how to live life.
A recently hired police officer atPTS Bauri, Bhopal, Ravi Kumar Tiwari spoke to ANI and mentioned that he would be pleased to recite the verse ofRamcharitmanas.
My training is progressing very well and the environment here is quite positive. Yesterday (July 22), ADG Sir held a meeting where he spoke about Lord Ram, mentioning that he went into exile for 14 years as per his father’s orders, and questioned whether we couldn’t spend just 9 months in the training center for the country, state, your parents, and our own development. He also said that we all should collectively read the verses ofRamcharitmanasand should incorporate its teachings into our lives. It is praiseworthy, and we will all recite it together,” Tiwari stated. (ANI)
