Motorcycle Rider Fatally Struck in Head-On Collision in Braxton County

SUTTON, W.Va (WDTV) – A man has died after a motorcycle collided head-on with a passenger vehicle today.

The West Virginia State Police say troopers responded to a motor vehicle crash at 1:20 p.m.

This crash occurred on Route 15, 0.2 miles east of the Gerald R. Freeman Campground.

In a press release, they say the motorcycle was operated by Jeffrey Robertson, 62, of Elkview. He was traveling west on Route 15 when the motorcycle crossed the centerline and struck an oncoming passenger vehicle head-on.

Robertson suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead on the scene.

The driver of the passenger vehicle was taken to Braxton Memorial Hospital for minor injuries.

The WVSP are continuing to investigate the incident.
