The Moroccan Cultural Heritage Days were held in Prague from May 17-18, showcasing the exquisite traditional caftans designed by the globally recognized fashion creator Samira Haddouchi. This event was orchestrated by the Embassy of Morocco in Prague along with the Joussour Association for Arts and Creation, taking place within the historical walls of Troja Palace.
During the opening ceremony, Haddouchi showcased her creations, illustrating the blend of traditional Moroccan handicrafts with modern design elements. Attendees comprised ex-presidents and past prime ministers of the Czech Republic, along with various diplomats.
“Our aim is to create a conversation between Morocco’s rich cultural legacy and contemporary fashion styles, presenting designs that resonate with everyone,” Haddouchi said. She highlighted her focus on keeping the caftan eternally stylish yet embodying present-day vivacity.
The extensive lineup included art shows, craft displays, and food demonstrations, drawing around 300 politicians, diplomats, and cultural personalities. The festivities extended across major plazas in Prague up until May 18th.
