New Monsters, Inc. Ear Headband Released at Disney’s Hollywood Studios
A new and exciting item has recently made its way to Disney’s Hollywood Studios: the Monsters, Inc. Ear Headband. Priced at $34.99, this headband is a must-have for fans of the beloved animated film. The design features a lavender terry cloth-like bow with two eyes and twine hair, a nod to the costume worn by Boo as Sulley tries to keep her hidden from the other monsters in the movie.
One of the “ears” on the headband is a green fuzzy ball with horns, representing Mike Wazowski, while the other is blue with purple dots and horns, symbolizing Sulley. The headband itself is blue on the outside and green on the inside, matching each monster’s ear perfectly. This attention to detail makes it a standout piece for any fan looking to dress up in style.
The ear headband was released in limited quantities, making it a rare find for visitors. According to cast members, very few pairs were available when the item first hit the shelves. It remains unclear whether the release was an accident or if the supply is intentionally limited. Regardless, guests are encouraged to keep an eye out while exploring the park, as you never know when you might stumble upon this new monstrous accessory.
This new item is just one of several additions at Hollywood Studios that pay homage to the upcoming “Monsters, Inc.” land. This new area will replace the Muppets Courtyard located on Grand Avenue. Alongside the ear headband, a “We scare because we care” Halloween t-shirt has also been released, adding to the spooky yet playful theme of the new land.
The transformation of the Muppets Courtyard into Monstropolis has already begun. Last month, the area closed its doors, and the space has started to change. Trees and the Miss Piggy fountain, which were once in front of the MuppetVision 3D theater, have been removed. Disney has filed a permit for construction at the theater, which is set to become The Glob, as revealed in concept art for Monstropolis. Additionally, part of the nearby cast member parking lot is currently blocked off for the construction of the land’s signature door roller-coaster. This attraction will be Disney’s first vertical lift coaster and first suspended coaster, marking a significant addition to the park’s lineup.
As the transformation continues, fans of the Monsters, Inc. franchise are eager to see what else is in store. With the new ear headband and upcoming attractions, the excitement around the new land is growing. If you happen to spot these ears while visiting Disney’s Hollywood Studios, would you consider purchasing them? Share your thoughts in the comments or on social media.
