Miss England Controversy Erupts: Beauty Queen Slams Bosses Over Prostitution Remarks

Miss England has hit back at Miss World bosses after they released video footage of her seemingly enjoying a dinner in
India
where she said she felt compelled to act like a prostitute.

Milla Magee, aged 24, dramatically withdrew from the Miss World beauty competition as she alleged that she was forced to

when they express gratitude for the funds.

The lifeguard from Newquay, Cornwall, had traveled to Hyderabad on May 7th for promotional activities related to the competition’s finale. However, she soon realized her presence there was solely meant for public attention.

She stated that she was supposed to stay with the men throughout the night and keep them entertained. She expressed her belief that this was both ‘unacceptable’ and ‘inappropriate,’ which made her feel uneasy about the whole scenario.

As a reply, the organizers of Miss World uploaded clips featuring Ms. Magee at the event, showing her seemingly having a great time.

, the Miss World account posted: “Miss World Organisation will be sharing the raw footage from Milla’s time in India, where she conveys her thanks, happiness, and admiration for the entire experience.”

These videos capture her exact statements and feelings, serving as a clear rebuttal to the recently circulated inaccurate stories.

However, Ms. Magee countered the post, stating that she had been compelled to follow orders.

‘I’m shocked that Miss World have released videos of me at the hotel without my permission, they give an entirely false impression,’ she told The Sun.

The truth was that I felt unhappy and unable to continue supporting the Miss World organization.

I felt used when I had to converse with those dignitaries during dinner events, and one of the competition’s officials actually clapped in my face after informing both myself and the other girls that we were uninteresting.

She first cited “personal reasons” for her sudden exit, and Miss World Chairman and CEO, Julia Morley, mentioned that the management showed “compassion” towards her situation and facilitated her journey back to England.

Although Mrs. Magee mentioned that her mother recently experienced a health issue, she used this as an excuse to go back home.

She stated that participants were instructed to wear thick makeup and evening dresses throughout the day—from early morning until late at night—even during breakfast—and were constantly showcased at events solely to attract wealthy sponsors.

She stated that the experience left her feeling “like a prostitute” who was “being rented out for entertainment.”

When she tried to discuss her humanitarian efforts, she often encountered disinterest and uncomfortable chitchat instead.

She said that after the event, one guy called her “boring.”

Unable to cope with the chaos, Ms Magee rang her mother in tears, saying she and other contestants were being exploited, before finally informing organisers on May 16, that she was walking away.

She immediately flew back to the UK, leaving her crown and the controversial competition behind.

It made her the first Miss England in the competition’s 74-year history to resign.

Ms Magee is the daughter of Oasis original Katrina Russell – the best friend of Noel Gallagher’s first wife Meg Matthews.

Ms. Russell played a crucial role in managing the band during her time at Creation Records, significantly contributing to Oasis’s rise to fame approximately three decades ago.

Ms. Magee, who created history as the first plus-sized champion when she won Miss England last year, has been enthusiastically advocating for improved CPR education via her ‘Go Far With CPR’ campaign. This initiative has garnered support from the Prince of Wales.

She believed that the Miss World stage would enhance her cause.

However, she mentioned that she came across an occurrence that remains unchanged since the 1960s and 70s, showing scant consideration for contemporary values.

She mentioned feeling pressured to fit in, with it being evident that if she refused, she wouldn’t stand a chance of winning the competition.

Her place in the forthcoming finale — which is scheduled to air across more than 180 nations — will now be taken by Charlotte Grant, 25, who is the runner-up for Miss England and currently holds the title of Miss Liverpool.
