Weather Conditions on All-Ireland Day
The big day has finally arrived, drawing tens of thousands of fans to Dublin to witness the thrilling clash between Cork and Tipperary in the All-Ireland final. Additionally, thousands of supporters are out and about on Leeside to celebrate the occasion.
The morning started off with mostly dry and cloudy conditions, but according to Met Éireann’s forecasts, the weather is expected to deteriorate throughout the afternoon. Temperatures in Cork are anticipated to remain fairly stable, hovering around 18ºC for most of the afternoon and into the evening. Similar conditions are also forecast for Dublin.
Rainfall Predictions for Cork and Dublin
While Cork may face more challenging weather, Dublin is expected to see lighter showers. However, Cork is set to experience heavier downpours that will intensify throughout the afternoon. There is even a possibility of thunder and lightning from around 5 p.m. onwards. For those traveling home from Dublin tomorrow morning, it’s important to note that a Status Yellow rainfall warning will be in effect from midnight tonight. If you plan to return to Cork early or stay out late, it’s advisable to carry proper rain gear.
Although a little rain won’t deter Cork supporters, those planning to attend the Rebel Fanzone at Páirc Uí Chaoimh this afternoon should consider bringing an umbrella and jackets for the whole family.
