will not play at the 2025 Wimbledon Championship for the third consecutive year. Since finishing as runners-up in 2022, the former World No.13 has battled with injuries. And,

has made his feelings known about the Australian star’s missing the grass-court Grand Slam.
Soon after Kyrgios withdrew from Wimbledon, it was reported that the BBC had signed him to feature in the panel for the 2025 edition of the tournament. However, the
British media giant later snubbed Kyrgios
after his turbulent relationship with some sections of tennis fans and his recent admission of assaulting his
former girlfriend in the past
.
The 30-year-old had featured in the BBC panel last year alongside
Tim Henman
and
John McEnroe
. After being snubbed for this year’s edition, he revealed that he was substituted for American star Christopher Eubanks. But the World No.131 later went on social media to reveal that he had never been contacted by the BBC.
Nonetheless, Kyrgios has featured on Tennis Channel’s coverage of the sport in the United States. He also runs his own podcast Good Trouble, which has featured several top tennis players, including former World No.1

John McEnroe revealed during an interview with the
Express
that he will miss seeing Kyrgios feature at Wimbledon. The American legend made those comments despite the BBC’s press officer obstructing the reporter who asked about Kyrgios:
I’m okay talking about Nick Kyrgios. If anyone’s heard me talk about Nick Kyrgios, it’s in the sense that I would prefer to see him playing, because he’s one of the most talented guys that I’ve seen on a tennis court. In any sport watching and especially someone who’s playing the same sport I play, you always try to maximize, hopefully, what you can accomplish.
During the start of
Jannik Sinner’s three-month suspension
in February, Kyrgios was always in the headlines, arguing that the Italian star was given a reduced punishment for doping. He also got entangled in constant clashes with some fans on X, and he’s known for being vocal about issues in the sport.

Nick Kyrgios will not be among the BBC panel at Wimbledon, but has secured another job ahead of the tournament. Despite having featured in a role in the British media giant at the All England Club last year, he was snubbed this time around for
drawing negative press
for his comments on social media.
However, the 30-year-old has landed a new gig with British station Talksport, where he will act as a radio consultant during the two-week tournament at SW19. He will feature alongside co-presenter Gordon Smart and they will both record daily content for the station, with each episode lasting around thirty minutes.
Meanwhile, the Australian star has played in just six tournaments since October 2022. He has been hugely absent from the tour this season despite returning to the tour at the Brisbane International early this year. He has only competed in one Grand Slam, which was at the Australian Open, where he crashed out in the first round after losing to
Jacob Fearnley
in straight sets.
He has struggled with persistent knee and wrist injuries. In fact, the last time he played a match on tour was at the Miami Open in March, where he lost to Russian star
Karen Khachanov
in the second round in straight sets. Also, he has won just one singles match this season, losing four out of his five matches.
