The Maine Senate has confirmed six new members to the state’s Workforce Board, a group that helps shape policy and connect employers with skilled workers.
The appointments, made by Gov. Janet Mills, include individuals with experience in human resources, counseling, construction, operations management, and education. Employers from various industries lead the board and focus on workforce development across the state.
The new members are expected to advise the governor on workforce policy and support efforts to align Maine’s labor force with the needs of employers.
